Inspection and QC

Concepts NREC utilizes a Zeiss MC850 computerized coordinate measuring machine located in an environmentally controlled inspection room. This machine is used to measure contours of impeller blading and other components to tolerances as low as 0.0001 inch. The inspection facility is equipped with a full complement of standard metrological tools for dimensional inspection of critical components, whether manufactured in-house or by subcontractors. Quality control records are maintained to the highest government and industrial standards.

Zeiss 850 CMM

  • MC 4-axis coordinate measuring
  • 33 x 47 x 24 bridge-type table
  • Spatial accuracy over the full cube of 0.0007 inch
  • Point-to-point accuracy over full axis travel of 0.000020 inch
  • Zeiss KUM (curve measurement) software
  • Computer plotting of inspection data and interface to CAD quality control conforming to MIL-I-45208
