Accounting Specialist


Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking an Accounting Specialist. This is a part-time, 20 hour-per-week position in our White River Junction, Vermont location.

The Accounting Specialist will process invoices for our Engineering, Manufacturing and Software business units and be responsible for focusing on and collecting accounts receivable. Reporting to our Controller, the successful Accounting Specialist will have 2-3 years in accounts receivable as well as an Associate Degree in Accounting or the equivalent experience.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process Invoices for our Engineering, Manufacturing, and Software Businesses
  • Manage Engineering milestone billings
  • Maintain and update our China AR accounts
  • Process royalties and commissions
  • Answer Support’s questions on payments from customers
  • Project set up for Engineering contracts
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Machinist I (VT)

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Machinist in our White River Junction, VT location. The candidate should be able to set up and operate lathes and mills proficiently, interpret blueprints and drawings, and program lathes and 3 Axis machine centers using CAM systems, as well as at the machine. He or she will also determine work holding/fixturing methods and be able to hold tight dimension tolerances using various measuring equipment and use various measuring equipment to verify part dimensions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Studies features and specifications from blueprint, sketch and/or model to determined dimensions and tolerances of part to be machined
  • Determine sequence of operations, tools, materials need to complete the job
  • Determine work holding/fixturing methods
  • Ability to write programs both at the machine and using a cam system
  • Sets up and operates machines such as CNC lathes & milling machine also the ability to operate manual machines when needed
  • Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications using measuring instruments
  • Applies mastery of skills in adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment, as appropriate. • Adheres to all safety procedures and guidelines
  • Accurately records time spent on specific jobs or other activities during the week.
  • Adheres to ISO inspection processes 

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of G-Code is essential
  • Excellent blueprint reading
  • Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometer, caliper, and height gauge
  • Ability to set up fixturing, select tooling, and measuring equipment to validate compliance
  • Demonstrated experience in close tolerance machining
  • Ability to operate equipment and make adjustments
  • Capacity to evaluate information to determine
  • Five - 10 years' experience is required, as well as a high school diploma or equivalent

Regional Sales Manager (Europe)


Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Regional Sales Manager in Europe. This person must have experience in turbomachinery design and development and possess the requisite skills to build a high-performing sales presence in the region. This innovative candidate will be responsible for driving profitable growth and will establish a mature sales pipeline for three business units: Software, Engineering, and Mechanical Products. The individual will plan all sales and business development activities with a focus on aligning Concepts NREC expertise with the client’s needs. The European Regional Sales Manager will work in close collaboration with the Sales and Marketing team based in the US and prepare technical proposals, negotiate directly with customers, and provide excellent customer service and product support which includes trouble shooting.

Candidate will need to be a team player with strong organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must and a working familiarity with HubSpot or Microsoft CRM is preferred. An ideal background includes past technical and sales experience in software and engineering services. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with an MS or equivalent advanced engineering degree is highly desired. A technical foundation in turbomachinery with a solid basis in business fundamentals is also required. Experience in selling design or engineering software with 10 years of relevant sales experience is strongly preferred. Must be able and willing to travel both domestically and internationally. EOE. Senior Program Manager (VT)


Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a self-starting Senior Program Manager with industrial gas turbine experience to lead a large engine design project in our White River Junction, VT location. The candidate must be generally familiar with industrial gas turbine design and operation, and must have experience successfully running large design programs involving teams in multiple locations.  The successful candidate will supervise a staff of lead design engineers, as well as project managers, and will be responsible for design delivery to the customer, and for keeping the project on time and on budget.  

15+ years’ experience desired, along with a Master’s degree or higher in Engineering.  Excellent leadership and communication skills are needed in this job.  Some domestic as well as overseas travel required.

Product Development Test Engineer (VT)

The ideal candidate should have a mechanical engineering degree or relevant technical degree, and at least 5 years of experience with instrumentation and/or controls (temperature, pressure, rotating speed measurement, data acquisition systems, servo motor controls, etc.), as well as demonstrated management skills to lead hardware planning, assembly, and testing, utilizing the latest technologies. Hands-on practical experience with turbomachinery related products is a plus. Career path to Lab Manager.

As a Product Development Test Engineer at Concepts NREC, you will:

  • Work on several clean-sheet turbomachinery hardware projects at a time. Example prototype projects include fuel pumps for the next-generation rockets, gas turbine engine development rigs, advanced diffuser technology, innovative turbocharger technology, modular hydroturbines and more.
  • Work with a team of world-class experts in turbomachinery and highly capable support staff in other business units.
  • Apply engineering principles in statics, dynamics, fluid flow, heat transfer, and mechanical design to develop, build, and test experimental hardware, and specialized products.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other engineering staff to design prototype hardware and test facilities.
  • Schedule and coordinate activities of mechanical technicians.
  • Plan assembly activities and prototype testing.
  • Assemble and test development and production rigs and equipment.
  • Calibrate and install instrumentation.
  • Conduct testing and perform test data analysis.
  • Complete projects on schedule and within budget.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • BS in mechanical engineering.
  • Demonstrated management skills and experience leading technical projects in a R&D prototyping environment
  • 5 years of experience with instrumentation and/or controls.
  • Hands-on experience with building/testing/troubleshooting turbomachinery is a plus.
  • Proven ability to drive change and achieve results
  • Excellent communication skills.
