Accounting Specialist


Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking an Accounting Specialist. This is a part-time, 20 hour-per-week position in our White River Junction, Vermont location.

The Accounting Specialist will process invoices for our Engineering, Manufacturing and Software business units and be responsible for focusing on and collecting accounts receivable. Reporting to our Controller, the successful Accounting Specialist will have 2-3 years in accounts receivable as well as an Associate Degree in Accounting or the equivalent experience.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process Invoices for our Engineering, Manufacturing, and Software Businesses
  • Manage Engineering milestone billings
  • Maintain and update our China AR accounts
  • Process royalties and commissions
  • Answer Support’s questions on payments from customers
  • Project set up for Engineering contracts
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Administrative Office Manager

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking an Administrative Office Manager. This position, in our White River Junction, Vermont location, will include Executive Administrative Assistant and Corporate Secretary duties. Duties will include managing the front office staff and operations; performing Corporate Secretary duties; and performing Executive Administrative Assistant duties for the CEO (scheduling, correspondence, travel arrangements, communications both within company and outside). Candidate must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task.

Basic Qualifications: strong organizational and interpersonal skills, experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Associate’s Degree in an office field preferred. Requires 5 years minimum experience in an administrative role - management experience highly desired.

Engineering Sales Manager


Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking an Engineering Sales Manager. This person must have substantial experience in turbomachinery design and development and possess the requisite skills to build a high performing sales presence in the region. Delivers profitable growth in engineering sales through capturing large projects with strategic alignment for both the client and Concepts NREC. Includes market research, prospecting, shaping, proposal preparation and management, and closing large projects. The candidate will work as an effective member of the Concepts NREC Sales and Marketing team and form relationships with channel partners while working closely with customers to refine their needs and offer complex and insightful long-term solutions.

Candidate needs to be a team player with strong writing, organizational and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is a must as well as strategic/business development experience. A working familiarity with HubSpot CRM is preferred. Background must include past technical and sales experience in engineering services. The candidate should possess a post graduate degree in Engineering, have a technical foundation in turbomachinery, and a solid basis in business fundamentals. A minimum of 15 years of relevant Engineering and Sales experience is strongly preferred. Must be willing to relocate to one of Concepts NREC locations in either White River Junction, VT or Chelmsford, MA and able to travel both domestically and internationally.

Machinist I (VT)

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Machinist in our White River Junction, VT location. The candidate should be able to set up and operate lathes and mills proficiently, interpret blueprints and drawings, and program lathes and 3 Axis machine centers using CAM systems, as well as at the machine. He or she will also determine work holding/fixturing methods and be able to hold tight dimension tolerances using various measuring equipment and use various measuring equipment to verify part dimensions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Studies features and specifications from blueprint, sketch and/or model to determined dimensions and tolerances of part to be machined
  • Determine sequence of operations, tools, materials need to complete the job
  • Determine work holding/fixturing methods
  • Ability to write programs both at the machine and using a cam system
  • Sets up and operates machines such as CNC lathes & milling machine also the ability to operate manual machines when needed
  • Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications using measuring instruments
  • Applies mastery of skills in adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment, as appropriate. • Adheres to all safety procedures and guidelines
  • Accurately records time spent on specific jobs or other activities during the week.
  • Adheres to ISO inspection processes 

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of G-Code is essential
  • Excellent blueprint reading
  • Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometer, caliper, and height gauge
  • Ability to set up fixturing, select tooling, and measuring equipment to validate compliance
  • Demonstrated experience in close tolerance machining
  • Ability to operate equipment and make adjustments
  • Capacity to evaluate information to determine
  • Five - 10 years' experience is required, as well as a high school diploma or equivalent

Senior Program Manager (VT)


Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a self-starting Senior Program Manager with industrial gas turbine experience to lead a large engine design project in our White River Junction, VT location. The candidate must be generally familiar with industrial gas turbine design and operation, and must have experience successfully running large design programs involving teams in multiple locations.  The successful candidate will supervise a staff of lead design engineers, as well as project managers, and will be responsible for design delivery to the customer, and for keeping the project on time and on budget.  

15+ years’ experience desired, along with a Master’s degree or higher in Engineering.  Excellent leadership and communication skills are needed in this job.  Some domestic as well as overseas travel required.

Senior Test Engineer (VT)


Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Senior Test Engineer with turbomachinery experience to support our developmental rig testing activities (including compressor, turbine, and pump testing). Candidate must have an engineering degree or relevant technical degree, and at least 5 years of experience with turbomachinery instrumentation and controls (temperature, pressure, rotating speed measurement, data acquisition systems, servo motor controls, etc.), and high speed turbomachinery rig test planning, building, and testing. The ideal candidate will have a good combination of academic engineering knowledge and hands-on practical experience with building/testing/troubleshooting turbomachinery related products. Career path to Lab Manager or Director.

Software Engineer I (VT or MA)

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Software Engineer I.

The person in this position will assist to develop and maintain world-class design and analysis software for turbomachinery. Principle duties and responsibilities will include creating program specification, designing software codes and interfacing with our Engineering department.

The candidate will code new features and bug fixes, compile, test, create and maintain code documentation, and participate in internal review of software components and systems. They will assist in software requirements analysis, design, development, and testing of software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products.

The individual will have a role in supporting customers, quality assurance, training, and sales personnel. They will be expected to participate in design reviews and maintain peripheral systems.

The successful candidate will have a BA or B.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering as well as 0-3 years programming experience with C++, FORTRAN, Windows, MFC and OLE. They must possess good communication and teamwork skills, as well as user skills necessary for office software: word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, and project management.
