Chief Financial Officer (VT)

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to work in our White River Junction, VT headquarters office. The ideal candidate will have strong financial and administration abilities including a high level in working with and developing financial models and reports, coupled with outstanding communication and people skills. The candidate will be responsible for all strategic and tactical financial and administrative activities in accordance with the company's quality standards and growth objectives. The candidate will manage and forecast company cash flow and debt management, and issue periodic reports on the company's financial stability, liquidity, and growth. In addition, this position oversees Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Internal Counsel, including contract management, and the Administration team. 

A minimum of 15 years’ experience in Finance and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in management and leadership with direct fiduciary responsibilities is required. Also required is a bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Administration. MBA or CPA preferred.

Machinist (VT)

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Machinist in our White River Junction, VT location. The candidate should be able to set up and operate lathes and mills proficiently, interpret blueprints and drawings, and program lathes and 3-Axis machine centers using CAM systems, as well as at the machine. He or she will also determine work holding/fixturing methods and be able to hold tight dimension tolerances using various measuring equipment.

A minimum of 5 years of experience is required, as well as a high school diploma or equivalent.

Office Manager (VT)

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking an Office Manager.  This position, in our White River Junction, Vermont location, will include Executive Administrative Assistant and Corporate Secretary duties.  Duties will include managing the front office staff and operations; performing Corporate Secretary duties (Board of Directors-related duties); and performing Executive Administrative Assistant duties for the CEO (scheduling, correspondence, travel arrangements, communications both within the company and outside, general support). Candidate should be detail-oriented.

Basic Qualifications: strong organizational and interpersonal skills, experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, detail-oriented. Associate’s Degree in an office field; (Bachelor’s Degree preferred). Requires 5 years minimum in a management role at a technical company.

Regional Sales Manager (Europe)

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Regional Sales Manager in Europe. This person must have experience in turbomachinery design and development and possess the requisite skills to build a high-performing sales presence in the region. This innovative candidate will be responsible for driving profitable growth and will establish a mature sales pipeline for three business units: Software, Engineering, and Mechanical Products. The individual will plan all sales and business development activities with a focus on aligning Concepts NREC expertise with the client’s needs. The European Regional Sales Manager will work in close collaboration with the Sales and Marketing team based in the US and prepare technical proposals, negotiate directly with customers, and provide excellent customer service and product support which includes trouble shooting.

Candidate will need to be a team player with strong organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must and a working familiarity with HubSpot or Microsoft CRM is preferred. An ideal background includes past technical and sales experience in software and engineering services. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with an MS or equivalent advanced engineering degree is highly desired. A technical foundation in turbomachinery with a solid basis in business fundamentals is also required. Experience in selling design or engineering software with 10 years of relevant sales experience is strongly preferred. Must be able and willing to travel both domestically and internationally. EOE. Sales Engineer (VT)

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Sales Engineer in our White River Junction, VT location.  The candidate will be a heavily sales and customer oriented individual.  This position will be responsible for qualifying business opportunities and developing sales proposals as well as providing occasional sales support for our products and manufactured business units.  This position will also provide technical recommendations and work with our clients to define technical requirements. 

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an engineering or related technical field with a minimum of four years of relevant technical sales or sales support experience with engineering products and/or services in the turbomachinery industry is required.  Direct exposure to the design and/or sale of pumps, compressors, turbines, or gas turbine engines or parts, along with experience in writing technical papers or proposals is highly desired.

Senior Test Engineer

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Senior Test Engineer with turbomachinery experience to support Concepts NREC's developmental rig testing activities (including compressor, turbine, and pump testing) in our White River Junction, VT location. Candidate must have an engineering degree or relevant technical degree and at least 5 years of experience with turbomachinery instrumentation and controls (temperature, pressure, rotating speed measurement, data acquisition systems, servo motor controls, etc.), and high-speed turbomachinery rig test planning and testing. The ideal candidate will have a good combination of academic engineering knowledge and hands-on practical experience with building/testing/troubleshooting turbomachinery-related products. Opportunities for advancement to Lab Manager or Director are possible.

Projects may include ITAR-restricted materials.

Senior Structural Engineer (VT or MA)

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer. This is a full-time position in either our Chelmsford Massachusetts, or White River Junction, Vermont offices.

The Senior Structural Engineer will report to the Director of Mechanical Component Design. Principal duties and responsibilities will include working alongside design engineers (aero and mechanical) and CAD personnel to design new advanced turbomachinery components, modify existing designs, and supporting the effort to concentrate new machinery and machine components to meet design requirements. The successful candidate will also be working directly with customers to understand requirements and specifications.

Candidates should have experience analyzing components using ANSYS, Concepts NREC codes, and hand calculations, for stress, deflections, heat transfer, and modal response. The preferred candidate will have machinery design experience, in addition to analysis skills. A good understanding of structural engineering fundamentals is also necessary for this position. Experience in the design of axial machinery is a plus.

Other responsibilities include selecting and investigating materials for use in specialized applications, evaluating test results that are required to validate analysis and performing rotor dynamics analysis under the training and direction of the staff.

A B.S. in Mechanical Engineering is required, M.S. preferred. Five to ten years of experience doing structural design/analysis in the turbomachinery industry is required. Skill with ANSYS and CAD would be very beneficial. A strong aptitude toward mechanical design and analytical thinking along with the ability to focus on details is a must. The candidate must have good communication skills and be comfortable making technical presentations to both small and large groups. A green card or US Citizenship is required.

Territory Sales Manager

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Territory Sales Manager.  The candidate will have a strong background in technical sales within the CAE, CFD and CAM Engineering sector and be responsible for identifying business growth opportunities and driving profitable sales for our targeted business segments.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conducting all sales and support activities in close collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager, the marketing team, and the Product Managers.
  • Identifying sales prospects and developing a sales strategy for each sales opportunity.
  • Preparing product/pricing proposals, working with prospects, and negotiating directly with customers to close sales.
  • Meeting quarterly and annual sales goals as measured through bookings, revenue and net income.
  • Reporting regularly (verbal and written) on activities, results, and forecasting from within the territory.
  • Helping to develop and assist with the development of promotional material including sales literature, video content and related marketing materials as it relates to Software, Engineering Services and/or Manufactured Parts Business Units.
  • Assisting with payments and accounts receivables from the customer base within the region.
  • Interacting with management, other internal Concepts NREC departments, sales staff, and outside vendors as needed to achieve objectives as a key member of the Sales Management Team.

A four-year degree from an accredited institution in an engineering or related technical field is required, along with five years of relevant sales or sales support experience for CAE, CFD and/or CAM products.  A strong background in or understanding of technical sales and/or services for the turbomachinery industry is desirable.
