STRESSPREP
Parametric Modeling of Radial and Mixed-Flow Compressor and Pump Impellers and Radial Turbine Wheels
STRESSPREP provides flexible parametric modeling of radial and mixed-flow compressor and pump impellers and radial turbine wheels.
The Right Model for the Job
Five different computationally efficient models provide the right model for the job. The STRESSPREP solid-element model is built with a detailed brick element mesh including disk, shroud, blade, and fillets. Complex geometries are supported, including front and rear counterbores, balance rings, and variable fillet radii.
Modeling
STRESSPREP generates complete ready-to-run FEA models. A model mesh is built and then material properties, boundary conditions, and loading are applied. Models that once took days can now be generated in minutes. A first model can be produced in less than 10 minutes and subsequent minor iterations even more quickly.
Support of Other Programs
A variety of popular FEA packages are supported by STRESSPREP, including ANSYSŪ, NASTRAN, COSMOS/M®, and ABAQUS®.
User-Friendly Features
Included in STRESSPREP is a powerful and flexible 3D OpenGL model viewer for all models. Configurable model checking is included, as is a user-modifiable materials database. Flexible meshing options are provided for STRESSPREP's structured grid, with user-controllable mesh density for optimum element distribution. Postprocessing options include Campbell and Goodman diagrams.
Interoperability with AxCent® allows the user to obtain blade geometry and thermal and pressure loads.
