October 13 -15, 2020 11:00 am - 1:00 pm EDT

In this forum we will look at challenges related to the design of centrifugal compressors for chiller and refrigeration applications.  We will start by talking about cycle calculations for chillers, including the various types of chiller cycles, and the role economizers can have in chiller cycles.  Advances in chiller cycle analysis software will be demonstrated.  Chiller compressor aerodynamic and structural design will then be covered, along with advances in software tools for the design of these compressors.  In addition, manufacturing of chiller compressor components will be discussed, including both CAM software approaches, as well as pure manufacturing considerations. Presentations will not include ITAR controlled material.

This series of presentations will be delivered online in two-hour segments over three days, and will include time for Q&A in each presentation.
