Marketing Manager

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Marketing Manager that will be responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of all Concepts NREC marketing activities.  The position requires an effective communicator with a big picture perspective and the ability to offer useful advice across the four main company business units.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning all marketing and branding activities in close collaboration with the V.P. of Sales and Marketing and other senior managers.
  • Overseeing creation of all marketing communications - press releases, advertisements, sales literature and related marketing materials.
  • Leading all areas of creative content generation across all media platforms.
  • Driving all CRM and direct marketing related activities, including maintaining the CRM platform.
  • Conducting customer surveys within the confines of our ISO-9001 procedures.
  • Collaborating with Sales to develop strategic partnerships where appropriate.
  • Develop and lead a marketing effort that will create new concepts and business models to increase market share and position the business as an innovator and industry leader.
  • Interacting with management, other internal Concepts NREC departments, sales staff, and outside vendors as needed to achieve objectives as a key member of the Concepts NREC leadership team.
  • Various other marketing related tasks as assigned.

Education & Experience: 

  • B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Marketing, or related technical field.  An advanced degree is a strong plus. 
  • Ten years of relevant sales and/or marketing experienced in an industrial setting required.

Product & Manufacturing Parts Sales Manager

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Product & Manufacturing Parts Sales Manager. The successful Sales Manager will be a heavily sales and business strategy oriented individual responsible for identifying business growth opportunities and then driving profitable sales for our Manufactured Parts and Products Business Unit in the U.S. and Canada. The position requires an organized and detail-oriented individual that is comfortable working both collaboratively and making independent decisions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sales and support activities in close collaboration with the products and marketing teams, and the Product Managers
  • Identify sales prospects and develop a sales strategy for each sales opportunity
  • Prepare product/pricing proposals, work with prospects, and negotiate directly with customers to close sales
  • Meet quarterly and annual sales goals as measured through bookings, revenue and net income
  • Report regularly (verbally and written) on activities, results and forecasting from within the territory
  • Help to develop and assist with the development of promotional material including sales literature, video content and related marketing materials as it relates to Products and Manufactured Parts Business Units
  • Assist with payments and account receivables from the customer base within the region
  • Interact with management, other internal Concepts NREC departments, sales staff, and outside vendors as needed to achieve objectives as a key member of the Concepts NREC sales management team

Education & Experience:  

A four-year degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering or related technical field.  Ten years of relevant sales or sales support experience in an industrial setting.  A strong background of technical sales and/or services for turbomachinery or high-speed rotating equipment industries is required. Direct exposure to the design and/or manufacturing of pumps, compressors, turbines, gas turbine engines, or other high-speed rotating equipment or associated parts is highly desirable.

Project Engineer (VT)

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Project Engineer to lead our developmental turbomachinery projects, ranging from conceptual design to fabrication to testing. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, and 5 years of experience in mechanical design coupled with strong project management skills. Experience with rotating equipment is a plus.

As a Project Engineer at Concepts NREC, you will:

  • Lead several clean-sheet turbomachinery hardware projects at a time. Example prototype projects include fuel pumps for the next-generation rockets, gas turbine engine development rigs, advanced diffuser technology, innovative turbocharger technology, modular hydroturbines and more.
  • Work with a team of world-class experts in turbomachinery and highly capable support staff in other business units.
  • Apply engineering principles in statics, dynamics, fluid flow, heat transfer, and mechanical design to aid in the development, building, and testing of turbomachinery hardware, and specialized products.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage several engineering development projects, while also contributing technically to the success of the project.
  • Collaborate with other engineering staff to design, build and test turbomachinery systems.
  • Work with customers to ensure our services meet and exceed their expectations.
  • Responsible for completing engineering projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Assess and mitigate project risk consistent with AS9100 requirements.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • BS in mechanical engineering or equivalent, MS preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Experience designing industrial machinery is a plus.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and 5 years’ experience leading technical projects in an R&D prototyping environment.
  • Proven track record of managing customer requirements and expectations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to drive change, manage conflict, and achieve results
  • Must be US citizen or US permanent resident.

Senior Software Engineer (MA)

Concepts NREC, the world’s leading independent, full-service turbomachinery design, development, research, and training organization is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.

Reporting to Concepts NREC's head of CAM software product development, this individual will work on software development for a specialized Computer Aided Manufacturing system. Strong mathematical and analytical skills are required to develop new geometry, toolpath, and simulation features. One to three years of related work experience is required. Geometric modeling kernel experience desired. A B.Sc. in Mathematics or Engineering is expected.

Senior Turbomachinery/Software Engineer (VT)

We are seeking a Senior Turbomachinery/Software Engineer to work on software development for our CAE software, with an emphasis on meanline radial turbomachinery.

At least 5 years’ experience developing software and master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering required.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of turbomachinery design as well as software development experience. They will also have 5+ years of experience designing rotating fluid machinery, preferably multistage axial compressors and/or turbines for use in gas turbine engines.  In addition, the candidate should have a proven capability to develop software and a desire to continue his/her career as a software developer.

The applicant must possess good understanding of the physics and principles of turbomachinery aerodynamics and/or structural mechanics, creativity and problem-solving skills, a proven track record for technical excellence, practical approach and teamwork, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The applicant should have experience (academic or commercial) developing software for engineering applications.  Some combination of C++, FORTRAN, Python, HTML/JavaScript is desired as well as software development in a team environment.
