The agreement enables Concepts NREC’ s worldwide organization of direct offices and partners to offer GasTurb™, a powerful and flexible gas turbine cycle program, to customers. “GasTurb is established as one of the premier tools worldwide for gas turbine cycle analysis and it has been a key part of our Agile Engineering Design System® for decades,” Concepts NREC’s Vice President and General Manager of Software, Dr. Peter Weitzman, said. “We are pleased to continue our long-standing relationship. Now that GasTurb is developed by a team of engineers and established as a private company, this will insure that development of the code keeps up with the state of the art of gas turbine engines.”
Over the past 20 years, GasTurb has been developed by Dr. Joachim Kurzke - a well-known gas turbine performance specialist. In 2013, he and Professor Peter Jeschke, head of the Institute for Jet Propulsion and Turbomachinery at the RWTH Aachen University, Germany, formed a private company, GasTurb GmbH. Due to this strong partnership, a team of engineers will guarantee the development of all GasTurb products. The latest version of GasTurb models diverse applications in more detail than ever, and users are able to calculate the first cycle within seconds after loading the program.
