White River Junction, VT, USA – September 3, 2021 — Concepts NREC, the world’s leading turbomachinery software, design, development, testing and manufacturing company is pleased to announce Claudio Raia as the new Managing Director and Sales Manager of Concepts NREC Europe.
Claudio joins Concepts NREC with extensive industrial experience. Most recently, he brought both line management and technical leadership to the CAE team at AVL Italia srl, focusing on conventional and electrified/hybrid powertrains for automotive (passenger, heavy duty, off-road, defense) and non-automotive (aviation, marine) applications. While at AVL, Claudio also held positions as Technical Sales Support Manager, Lead Engineer and Analysis Engineer. Prior to joining AVL, Claudio spent four years as Analysis Engineer for FVT GmbH in Austria working on 3D-CAD designs of internal combustion engine parts, engine simulation, and thermodynamic R&D. He is a graduate of TU Graz with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Universitá di Cantania in Italy. Claudio is fluent in English, German and Italian and will be located in Italy in the near term, with plans to move to Germany and build Concepts NREC’s office and capabilities there. In his spare time Claudio is very active and enjoys racing motorbikes on track, engine tuning, power lifting, and Muay Thai.
