In 2019, the Aungier model was added to COMPAL®, our compressor meanline design and analysis product. The Aungier model is a globally accepted, physics-based loss approach to aid in the design of compressors.
Our development team has re-visited this implementation in 2020 by improving the model’s calibration using an expanded set of test data, which includes a wider range of design requirements and applications. In doing so, using this model will allow a designer to determine the size and performance of their compressor design with a higher level of confidence.
Look for this, and other additional features when Concepts NREC releases the newest versions of our products on December 1, 2020.
