Exploring Design Possibilities with the Python API in COMPAL® and PUMPAL®

Presented by Melissa Seib, CAE Software Product Manager

Date: Wednesday, May 13, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM EDT

2026 Webinar_Exploring Design Possibilities with the Python API in COMPAL and PUMPAL

Join us for a 30-minute webinar introducing the expanded Python API in COMPAL® and PUMPAL® and how it can support more efficient, flexible turbomachinery design workflows.

In this session, we will cover what the Python API is, what it enables, and how engineers can begin using it in practical ways. We will also walk through examples such as creating a custom template, and running a parameter sweep or performance map.

By utilizing the Python API with COMPAL and PUMPAL, engineers have the opportunity to explore more design possibilities without being constrained by manual, iterative work.

A short Q&A session will follow the presentation.

What You’ll Learn

  • What the Python API in COMPAL and PUMPAL covers
  • How to get started using the API
  • What resources are available to support implementation
  • How to create a custom template
  • How to apply the Python API across different use cases

Who Should Attend

This webinar is designed for:

  • Turbomachinery and aerospace engineers
  • Aerodynamicists
  • Engineering and R&D teams
