Presented by Christos Maninos, CAM Applications Engineer
Date: Wednesday, September 30, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM EDT

Axis reversals during blade machining can leave visible witness marks on the finished surface. When a CNC machine’s rotational axis changes direction while the cutter is engaged with the blade, even a small change in machine motion can affect surface quality.
In this webinar, we’ll walk through a practical, step-by-step approach to addressing this issue through tool path optimization in MAX-PAC™. Using a real machining example, we’ll demonstrate how to identify problematic axis reversals and make adjustments to create smoother machine motion and improve the resulting blade surface.
The demonstration will address head reversals and table reversals, showing how to recognize and reduce each within the tool path.
