Integration of GPU Accelerated CFD Solver

Concepts NREC and ADS CFD have formed a partnership which will allow the combination of the Agile Engineering Design System® for Turbomachinery and the ADS GPU Accelerated CFD software suite to enable turbomachinery designers to perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) calculations 15-120X faster than traditional solvers at a fraction of the hardware cost.

pbCFD™

pbCFD™ is a baseline tool for CFD users who are interested in a cost-effective alternative to prototype manufacturing and testing. Created for designers by designers, it generates rapid design-level CFD calculations, with equally rapid setup and run times. With fully integrated preprocessing, CFD runs can be set up with just a few keystrokes. Designers can get a full 3D Navier-Stokes solution with no more effort than a streamline-curvature or throughflow solution.

ADS Code LEO

ADS Code LEO is a CFD solver that has full steady and unsteady turbomachinery capabilities and has been optimized for GPU acceleration. It seamlessly launches with one click from AxCent. Meshing of the geometry, transfer of the boundary conditions, and setup and launching of the solver have all been automated. The GPU powered CFD will run 15-120X faster than traditional CPU based CFD methods without loss of fundamental validations that have made ADS Code LEO a trusted CFD partner in the turbomachinery space. 

CPU computing with ADS Code Leo is possible also, and while the performance increase will not reach the level of GPU computing, it has been proven to run 4x-20x faster than other CFD solutions.
