TurboOPT II™

This newly developed optimization program by Concepts NREC is completely interoperable with the entire Agile program suite for meanline, streamline curvature, quasi-3D CFD, full 3D CFD, and stress analysis. Users can set up and control single and multidisciplinary optimizations using TurboOPT II’s internal optimizer to manage an optimization plan between Agile Engineering Design System® programs. Users may also choose third-party optimizers such as Isight™ and VisualDOC.

Performance features

TurboOPT II offers a flexible user interface, with performance maps for each variable, giving users the ability to customize settings for any number of performance maps.

  • Perform single and multidisciplinary optimizations using existing Agile links during multidisciplinary optimizations.
  • Explore the design space using a multilevel optimization approach (methods include sequential, coupled, and nested).
  • Constrain input and output variables according to baseline values, design ranges, weight of priority, and more.
  • Link any number of different variables among different optimization tasks.
  • Define general optimization schemes, including global, local, and combined.
  • Save performance map configurations when using the internal optimizer.
  • Send optimizer runs to third-party programs (Isight, Isight Runtime, and VisualDOC).
  • Option for a low-cost optimization engine through the Python Scientific Library.
